31

So, I can't believe that I just celebrated my 31st birthday! My wife planned a great trip for us to Chattanooga (one of our favorite cities) for the weekend. It was such a relaxing and fun weekend. We got to watch the boys run around in Coolidge Park (riding the carousel) and at Lee University (where MB went), we got to ride a Trolley Train at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo for $5 total, we indulged in some Clumpies Ice Cream, we visited our favorite bakery in Cleveland, TN., and we got to swim at the hotel (the boys LOVED this part). We also got to eat at some of our favorite places as well: The Southern Star in Chattanooga and Jenkins in Cleveland.

Some people have asked us why we didn't go to the aquarium or the children's museum, or any other attractions. Honestly, we had planned on doing one or more of those things, but after we got there, the boys had so much fun just running around and enjoying the beautiful weather, that we decided that we should just enjoy the this with them. Why take them into these places that will cost a good bit of money when we can just go and hang out for free!

It was truly a relaxing weekend. On the way home, we were talking about how it seemed like we had been there forever, not just the 3 days we had been there. That is the sign of a relaxing weekend.

I am so thankful to have the best two little boys and a beautiful wife that helped celebrate with me on my 31st birthday.

Can't wait to see what God has in store for the 32nd year of my life. The first 31 have been great!
